Rachel Carpenter is a senior majoring in both Psychology and Neuroscience. She is a part of the Psychology Department’s 4+1 BA/MS program at Temple University and will receive her Master of Science in Psychological Research. Rachel began her research with rodents in the spring of 2017 in Dr. John Muschamp’s laboratory at Temple University’s School of Medicine. She was trained to use mouse models of addiction to examine the neurobiology of cocaine abuse. In June 2017, Rachel began working in Dr. Wimmer’s lab as part of her Master’s program. Her project will focus on the impact of early life stress on drug taking and drug seeking behaviors.
